Question 5

With my magazine I have based it around pop indie; I have used black and white to link with indie and with the purple for pop. With the models one is pop while the other is indie. The magazine is needing to be bold and bright in order for potential audiences to catch it and to see it through all the other covers. Bright colors are used for the clothing of the model who is the pop artist Natalie, where as tartan shirt and leather skirt is used for the model who is the artist Eileen.

When opening up to the contents page you are able to the range of articles; gossip, news, reviews and fashion. This is so that the people who are not fully into music will be catered to also. This is so that I can draw the potential readers in more and wanting to turn over to the next page.

With the double page spread, I created a magazine article about two artists, that are new and existing in the music industry. I believe that the magazine should have an article about handling fame and with the artists around the same age as the target audience, which is teens 15+, they are able to relate to the artists. They also listen to how fame hasn't changed them and that the music is what counts and how to get through to the audience is their job. This helps the audience feel that they care for their fans and that gives them reason to feel comfortable about themselves. The magazine is age appropriate and no 'sex sells' style in what so ever.
